Hi! Let’s talk AI.
This is Moby. I run paid ads programs for B2B companies.
Let’s break down what I consider to the sleeper hit of AI for consumers in 2025: NotebookLM by Google.
What this email covers:
What is NotebookLM and how does it work?
So what? What are the use cases for B2B marketing?
Roundup (LinkedIn chatter, job board, personal updates)
#1 What is NotebookLM and how does it work?
The promise it makes: Understand anything. And it’s true.

It’s free to use (upgrade options are available).
You open up a “notebook” and upload your documents/sources (Youtube videos, transcripts, documents, decks, podcasts anything).

Once you upload whatever you want to deep dive into, you can ask regular AI questions for research, which is cool.
But what’s even cooler? It can make audio podcasts, video overviews, reports, quizzes and SO MUCH MORE from your source material:

That means:
Want to understand a messaging framework with a mindmap? It makes one automatically.
Need to learn the nuances of a complex topic? A custom 2-person podcast will go into the details.
Want to get better at the details of a subject? Boom! Quiz made for you.
It’s freaking amazing. I tend to use audio overviews the most, because:
I can listen while driving / talking
The
2-person2-way-AI conversation feels like a real podcast, and makes for casual listeningYou can prompt it to focus on a specific angle
#2 So what? What are the use cases?
Here’s how I’ve used NotebookLM recently as a B2B marketer:
Taken a client’s ICP research and made podcasts to understand the problems of accountants, CFOs, Salesforce users to make better ads
Interviewed the founding team of a SaaS startup to build their outward messaging and understand how their ICP (Limited Partners) operates on a day-to-day basis
Dropped in interviews with a CEO / Chief Evangelist, along with April Dunford’s positioning framework from Obviously Awesome, to understand what makes them unique
Here’s use cases you can try:
Want to break down your company’s (or a competitor’s) marketing message?
Upload company website + 5-10 recent social posts
Ask it to use April Dunford’s positioning framework (use this) to explain what this company does
Upload sales call transcripts to understand customer pain points, and use those in your marketing
Learn a topic much faster
Take 5-10 videos/podcasts from experts you trust and link in a source
Take more recent LI posts (since people post learnings in real-time)
Ask it to make an audio overview or mindmap

Stuff that caught my eye. Might catch yours too.
📚 LinkedIn Chatter
I really likes Tomasz’s recent post on his agency’s structure. While I don’t plan to scale my agency, the moral for me: Do everything you can to keep clients. That will make you a lot more money than always signing on new ones.
I’m posting real-time updates on the progress of this newsletter on my LinkedIn 1-2 time a week (read first one here)
💼 Looking for a new marketing role?
If I was looking for a role in B2B marketing right now, ExitFive’s job board is what I would start with
You don’t need to be a member to view the roles
And if you are a member, the #hiring channel is pretty active
